Single Rope Technique SRT Setup
Просмотров 385 тыс.12 лет назад
Australian Tree and Rope Access Equipment Specialists ATRAES presents a second video on SRT (Single Rope Technique). The first part of the video demonstrates an example of double bagging, and some of the scenarios it would be used. This will focus more on setting a SRT line for tree climbers. Often when a throw line is set too high, the tree climber may be unsure of whether it is over a signifi...
ATRAES MicroFrog SRT System
Просмотров 129 тыс.12 лет назад
The ATRAES MicroFrog system is a custom-spliced variation on a popular SRT setup. Designed by Australian climbers, the system aims to maximise speed and efficiency whilst keeping weight and component parts to the bare minimum. The MicroFrog system includes a lightweight Kong Futura hand ascender, a Petzl Croll chest ascender and a Petzl Pantin foot ascender. Connecting the ascenders is a custom...

Ok.it does not continiously slide
This was the only video that I actually understood how to tie SRT
Where did this guy go? This is gold.
Thanks. Learnt couple things here. Love the double bagging, in case you over throw over to many limbs but need to only isolate 1 for pulling a Alpine loop up. 👍👍
Thank you
Video could be better if sound was balanced. Music started out overly loud, then talking was very soft.
Great video!!!. What diameter rope are you using 8 or 10 mm?. I assume it as an static one. Thanks a lot
Very helpful 👍
So after all of that monkeying around me with my DRT system is already in the tree working…..
Yes... if the limb is 10 ft off the ground.
Thanks Bro, beer for you when in New Mexico.😁👌🇺🇸
Very informative
thanks for your video! very helpfull
Lol he lost me at the first knot
This was usefull thanks
Double bagging (definition) - when you're dating a girl so ugly you have to use 2 paper bags to put over her face when banging her in case 1 falls off! So I've heard.
No double bagging is a bag for her head and a bag for yours in case hers falls off.
Get rid of that damn music
Fuck SRT, just man up and bleed out.
Excelent technick!
Greatest demo
🙏🤩💯💯
Do you not need anu sort of backup fall arrest system incase the hand ascender comes away from the line
That’s basically what the croll is doing. Or vice versa. Croll is his main life support. Hand ascender would then become secondary.
At 3:28 can anyone show how to make an alpine butterfly that way?
would it be possible to show how to descend? in particular, rearranging into the descent system thanks
Oh, I thought double bagging was when you have to put 2 bags over a really ugly chick's face in case one bag falls off when you are screwing her
Right lmao. Totally different definition in the states lol
Nice I like the alpine knot used to recover the rope. Hope you make some more vids
you can do the same exact thing with a bowline. I don't know why he didn't show that and only showed a bowline with no running slack.
maxdecphoenix alpine butterfly is better in this situation as it’s a more snug knot midline, it can also be loaded all three ways. In addition if you add a caribiner and pulley (split one that you can add midline to a rope) then this alpine butterfly knot will pull out with no friction.
Hi there, can I use your video in one of my videos?
Карабин на обвязке должен быть с муфтой

Joe needs to try and control his emotions when trying to teach!
Complete waste of my time. 5 1/2 minutes on throwing a rope into a tree. I want a refund.
could you do a vid on the spliced link ??
Hello and thanks for this great video. Can you secure yourself in addition to croll?
Great video. I use ALT mostly an never thought to use an Alpine in that way. An tying off to the base or a nearby always has made me nervous around less experienced guys.
where can i buy the mini frog in europe?
i think rope walker beats all systems chestbox also u dont need to even touch the rope just walk right up this has been a good system for me but to everone is different.
i am your 1000 sub
@Bo0mer...that's right! either the same throwing line or another strong line will just do the job remotely from the ground...with the other system with the alpine butterfly you need to be sure you have enough rope length to be able to recover your rope from the ground...
+boriquabro Yessir, you beat me to it. I use a braided mason line for throw line. I forget the size, but it's almost thick as boot lace. It's a real tight weave cord, somewhere app 40 lb test, and cheap ! I frequently see almost no signs of abrasion.
Hey I am 14yrs old and I do abseiling and climbing. But what I don't know is how to actually set up a rope properly and safely when I am on my own. Could you please make a video on how or tell me if there is a great one you have made or know of. Please write soon really desperate. Thank you!!!
Hello friend, I climb trees in Brazil and would like to learn Branch Walking, you know of any instructional video and what is the necessary equipment to be able to walk on thin branches? Congratulations for the beautiful video
Probably replying a bit late to reply haha, Always keep your weight in your harness and use a shorter lanyard to hitch the branch up when it starts to drop
How do you decend?
+Karen Heuvinck put pentin off, and then croll decending
You need to bring a figure 8 decender or some other modern type decender eg: Petzl rig to get down as the Petzl pantin and croll are ascenders !
Swap the futura for a unicender. Then u can ascend and descend. Uni needs to have its own separate lanyard to harness.
Good Video, nice technique. Do you even put load on your Croll while climbing or only in rest position ? I will try your method but with a Petzl Microcender instead of the Croll and a Petzl Ascension instead of the Micro Frog. U think thats gonna work out ?
I see these men are not taught to put rope protection when descending, ropes are rubbing against the sharp edge of the container. How so? They must be IRATA L3 or what?
Agreed.
if you boys are looking for to get ripped much faster without spending a single another minute in the gym, then you really want to keep an eye on this online video SIXPP.COM So long as governments set the example of killing their enemies, private individuals will occasionally kill theirs.
obviously the best & coolest way to climb!!
This just changed my life. I have been using a traditional frog system, which works, but is not the fastest or most efficient system. This makes it twice as efficient, and twice as fast. My old frog system was like climbing a ladder, but every other step, having both feet on the same rung. Now I am alternating like you would normally climb a ladder, or stairs. Pantin is now on order. Thanks!
Nice! what is the anchoir knot you did? coul´d you teach us?
Excellent video on all points.
why are you climbing up such a small tree?
res1492 lol i was thinking that also , free climbing that trwould be easy
comment s appelle le noeud numero 2 de cette video merci
C'est s'appelle 'Alpine Butterfly'
